Police Department Triennial Survey

The City of Hyattsville Police Department would like to know how they rate with the citizens of Hyattsville. A Police Department Citizen Attitude Survey is available here. This is a triennial survey conducted by the Police Department. Please reply by November 30, 2008. You may print the survey and either bring it in person to the police lobby (4310 Gallatin Street - second floor) or to any police department function OR mail to:

Crime Information

The City of Hyattsville announces a new program that provides the capability to share neighborhood crime incident information via the Internet. The program, available through www.crimereports.com makes it possible for the Hyattsville City Police Department to publish local crime incident information to the Internet in near real-time, making raw crime data easily accessible and user-friendly for officers, other neighboring police departments, community members, the media and other interested persons. The data will be updated daily. This program is available here through CrimeReports.com.

Safe City Video Surveillance Assessment

This is the City's initial phase of a project, as part of the Safe City initiative, that will ultimately implement and operate a limited, City-wide Video Surveillance network.

Citizen Commendation/Complaints

The Hyattsville Police Department produces an annual summary of all internal complaints. Those summaries are available upon request to any citizen and all City employees. Any such request must be made in writing to the Chief of Police. Please be sure to let us know the year of the summary in which you are interested.
